Cher began her painting career in the early 1980s with a determination to become a great artist someday. Although she was self-taught in the beginning and even promised a passing C in high school as long as she didn't take the class again, she knew in her heart what she wanted to do when she grew up! 
She was fascinated with women and animals and how they could relate through their eyes. She worked in pastels and pencils as well as watercolors. Most of her images were photographed by Cher in their natural environment. Cher has travelled extensively to follow her passion for wildlife.
