Cher began her painting career in the early 1980s with a determination to become a great artist someday. Although she was self-taught in the beginning and even promised a passing C in high school as long as she didn't take the class again, she knew in her heart what she wanted to do when she grew up! 

She was fascinated with women and animals and how they could relate through their eyes. She worked in pastels and pencils as well as watercolors. Some of her images were a combination of a real person and her imagination. Some were creatures from her dreams but they all represented a part of her.
